Waconia Wrestling sent 6 wrestlers to the 2018 MSHSL State Championship Tournamnet.  

106 lbs Tyson Peitz

120 lbs Max McEnelly,  Waconia's first 7th grader to qualify for state.

145 lbs Tim Stapleton, returning state entrant

152 lbs Tyler Wagener, returning state champ

160 lbs Cade Mueller, returning state place winner 

220 lbs Jake Hawkins

3 of the 6 placed and all 3 wrestlied in the Championship finals.  Tim Stapleton, State Runner Up, Tyler Wagener State Champion, and Cade Mueller State Champion.  Tyler became Waconia's first 4 x state place winner and took the school record for most wins.  

Congrats to all wrestlers on their season. Now it's onto NYWA and MNUSA off season wrestling!

Waconia Wrestling just hosted one of the most successful events 1/9/18 when Waconia hosted St. Peter, Waseca and Watertown.  We raised $11,000!!!  Thank you to the St. Peter, Watertown and Waseca wrestling communities.  All who helped should be proud of how we just made a big stride at taking down cancer! Hopefully, all of our other friends in wrestling community are hosting an event and joining our fight in cancer to show everyone NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE! #TEAMWICHMANN #Takedowncancer

Waconia Wrestling Varsity 2016 Section 2AA Academic Team Champions.  Not only do we take pride in our athletes, but we have student athletes.  Our wrestler's are focused on academics and sports.  Congrats to the 2015-16 team for their hard work in the classroom and on the mat!
