Assistant Coach
I attended Wadena Deer Creek as a 3-sport athlete, however wrestling was the sport I loved. I ended my career with a 168-13 record and placed in state 4x, one of which was a state championship. After high school I had the honor of wrestling at Concordia Moorhead and was the captain of my team under two Hall Of Fame high school coaches, Clay Nagle and Dennis Kaatz.
I have been coaching for the last 9 years. The first 4 were at Norwood Young America and I’ve since been with the Waconia Wildcats.
I reside in Minnetrista and am a father of two amazing kids. In my free time I enjoy golfing, spending time with my kids and being at the lake.
Being a coach for the better part of a decade, I have had the pleasure of seeing kids grow and succeed in their wrestling career, but even more important, have seen them grow as men and succeed in their goals for life. To collectively help mold, give advice and push our wrestlers to reach their goals is a huge highlight of being a coach. I look forward to many more years of coaching and being part of a great staff.
