We look forward to not only your child(ren) participating in the youth wrestling program, but you as well. We are excited about coach Jon Priess becomming the Youth Head Coach, Jon has worked with Waconia Wrestling for a few years now and brings a great combination of energy, positive attitude and wresting skill to our young wrestlers. However, we need your help and ask each participating family help with our continued program success. There will be several important volunteer & social opportunities throughout the year, including mentoring (for families who have been with the program for a bit & would like to help introduce a new family to it, and make sure they get the most out of the season), the Youth Wrestling Tournament (set-up, work at the event, etc.) the year end banquet, and much more. Also, the coaches would love additional help on the mats, so anyone who feels comfortable with coaching/coaching lite let Jon and Pat know!
To prepare athletes to reach their full potential as wrestlers on the mat and as student athletes off the mat. To have our atheletes adhere to the highest ideals of Discipline, Commitment, and Sportsmanship.
